A course built to be walked
David Wallace designed Mission Valley over more than 200 acres of lake-dotted land, with greens and tees set close together so a round stays under four hours.
The course
The layout is known for its walkability — greens and tees are placed close together, so members move from hole to hole without long waits or long carts rides.
The property runs across more than 200 acres of lakes, sandscape, and mature oaks. The golf shop keeps the scorecard, course handicap table, and slope ratings on hand for members and guests.
Rebuilt from the ground up in 2018
A full renovation brought the course up to modern conditioning while keeping the original routing intact.
- Regrassed every fairway with TifTuf Bermuda
- Rebuilt the greens in ultra-dwarf TifEagle
- Added new tees for every skill level
- Rebuilt the bunkers on the Better Billy Bunker system
- Expanded the lakes and natural sandscape areas
